William Wall Dining Table and Bench set made of reclaimed wood from 292 5th Ave
Antique Pine floor beams saved from one of NYC's "lost buildings". This lovely and economical table and bench set are made from 100+ year old White Pine or Douglas Fir beams, all of which were obtained from 292 Fifth Avenue, a building which has been been demolished to make way for a boutique hotel. Historical research shows that the six-story building, originally a four-story family home, dates as far back as the 1860s and was once occupied by William Wall, a wealthy and prominent New Yorker who ran a cordage business but had also been one of the first mayors of Williamsburg, Bklyn, a founder of the Williamsburg Savings Bank and a U.S. representative in Congress.
This set, available in either White Pine or Douglas Fir (price for Doug Fir is $2500), is 72"L x 32"W x 30"H. Dimensions are customizable, please contact Seller for pricing.
